Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries is a brilliant mix of the 1920s aesthetics and daring detective stories à la Agatha Christie. So it’s not a surprise I fell in love from the 1st episode! But who is miss Fisher?
Phryne Fisher is an extremely emancipated 28 year old lady who dances tango and wears trousers, drives a car (including a race one) and flies a plane, carries a pearl-handled pistol in her stocking garter and does’t rush to become a madame. Always fearless and perfectly elegant, she is ready to solve all kinds of crimes with a little help of her conservative maid Dot, charming taxi drivers/communists/best friends Bert and Cec as well as two glorious members of Melbourne police – detective inspector Jack Robinson and his loyal constable Hugh Collins.
And how about you guys? Have you seen Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries? What series are you watching at the moment?
